Present Moment Retreat

I traveled to Troncones from London (Dec 19 -24) based on a recommendation from a friend. Sadly Present Moment didn't have room availability, but I took advantage of their twice daily yoga classes...9am Flow and 4pm Yin. I ended up staying nearby in Manzanillo Bay, but it was an easy cycle ride (10 mins) to enjoy the fantastic yoga and food at Present Moment. I big shout out to Carmina for her yoga...a real pro (beautiful in and out). She made me feel so welcome and taught me a few new things. Apparently, this place is the OG Troncones resort, so we need to keep supporting it!

One of the best solo yoga experiences ever! Such a beautiful place. The pictures don’t do it justice as it is pure paradise! The tourism is very minimal which is great. The staff are all absolutely wonderful and I really enjoyed getting to know them all. You really couldn’t ask for a better place to practice yoga. Thank you so much! I will for sure be back.

The best stay. The food was amazing! The juices and smoothies were all delicious. The staff was really attentive making sure I was comfortable and happy with my meals. They made sure eating was safe for my gluten allergy. The whole resort remained clean and tidy. Perfect location. The sound of the waves at night while in bed was so relaxing. Def will be back.

I’ll second a few of the comments- I didn’t stay here. I stayed next door for 1/3 of the price (and with AC) and came here for yoga. It’s a beautiful spot, the smoothies are tasty, and the staff were all very nice. Yoga was okay- although I heard Carmina is the best and I didn’t have the chance to try her class. If you have room to pack your own mat/towel I’d also recommend that. I did enjoy doing yoga right there on the beach and would come back for the yoga!

What a fantastic getaway, run by a wonderful team. My partner and I stayed in a single-bed bungalow for 7 nights. Ate at the restaurant nearly every meal. The grounds are beautifully designed and skillfully cared for. There's a clever little pool at the center of the property that was very swimmable. It's right on the beach, so you're barefoot or in flipflops all the time. The staff are incredibly kind and competent, and the fellow visitors are all pretty chill. The vibe is a small village for the chillax.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Present Moment in December! It truly is paradise. Days go a little like this: sunrise beach stroll, morning yoga, nourishing breakfast, pool, ocean swim, afternoon yoga, cozy dinner, falling asleep to the crickets and ocean waves.. rinse and repeat! What also made our stay was the incredible staff and the way they always tended to us. Special shout outs to Gus, Alexis, Oni, Efren, and beyond. They are such wonderful people and really added to our experience, making us feel right at home. Also, Carmina is an amazing yoga teacher, so I definitely recommend taking a class with her! Present Moment is a really special place. We are so grateful for the beautiful oasis it is and the way it reset our nervous systems. ¡Hasta la próxima!

It's great, it's rustic, not the Four Seasons, there's no AC, no TV, it's not a brick and mortar room, walls are "open", made of "branches" albeit concrete floor. There is electricity, wifi and very good restaurant. Running water and hot shower. This place is excellent. The people are great. The place for doing yoga is specifically made for that. The entire hotel is built around the yoga site.

I’ve been to Present Moment several times over the years - stayed as a hotel guest, eaten many meals in the restaurant, taken lots of yoga classes, and shopped in the boutique. This trip (Dec 2024), I enjoyed food, yoga, and shopping. Carmina is an excellent yoga instructor - playful, intuitive, and inclusive of body shapes and abilities. Her classes are great. I didn’t enjoy the other teacher but the schedule was clear - lovely cocktails, good food, and fun shopping too.
